Discover the World of Pinot Noir

World of Pinot Noir is a yearly wine event in Santa Barbara celebrating all things Pinot Noir.

Here are some of my favorite wines from the World of Pinot Noir:

  1. Domaine Della

This winery had six great Pinots to try. I definitely preferred the 2016 varietals and knew that I was in store for a great event as this was my first tasting at the event.

2. Black Kite Cellars

This winery definitely had the cutest bottles in my opinion and they are giving back to a great cause! The Africa Quest supports the people and animals in Africa. All proceeds go directly to this cause. Learn More

3. Chateau St. Jean

I definitely lean towards a heavier red. Chateau St. Jean’s Le Seul delivered on taste - there are notes of strawberry and cinnamon and there is a smooth finish. The vines are grown in the Petaluma Gap. Learn More

4. Karah Estate Vineyard

I also got to try some great ROSÉ (lush and fruit forward) and the Reserve Pinot Noir from Karah Estate Vineyard which also has vines in the Petaluma Gap. Learn More

5. Big Basin Vineyards

I grew up in the Bay Area and I am ashamed to say this was my first time trying Big Basin Vineyards. They have a great selection of Pinots with vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Monterrey County. Learn More
